Pilots repeat as men's volleyball champions

The Providence University College Pilots knew they had to win two matches in one day and did just that. After dropping the first match of the men’s volleyball final to the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers, they came back to win the second one, then sweep the best-of-three third match 2-0 on home court on Sunday.
Cougars capture first MCAC women's volleyball title

The Assiniboine College Cougars are Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference champions for the first time. The Cougars defeated the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers 3-0 to sweep the women’s volleyball championship series on home court.
Ashfield named men's volleyball coach of the year

The Assiniboine College Cougars turned a rebuilding year into one of their most competitive seasons yet. Second-year head coach Dan Ashfield had a key role to play in it. Ashfield is the MCAC men’s volleyball coach of the year.
Doell named men's volleyball player of the year

Even though everyone knew Cole Doell was a key part of the Providence University College Pilots' offence, he was the most efficient attacker in MCAC men’s volleyball this season. The right side hitter led PUC to the top seed for the playoffs. Doell is the MCAC men’s volleyball player of the year.
Neufeld named women's volleyball coach of the year

Kevin Neufeld has taken the Assiniboine College Cougars to new heights. The longtime women’s volleyball coach took over at AC just a few years ago, turning a winless program into the top seed for this weekend’s championship series. Neufeld is the MCAC women’s volleyball coach of the year.
Lasuik named women's volleyball player of the year

Tyra Lasuik led the most powerful offence in MCAC women’s volleyball this season. The Assiniboine College Cougars setter averaged 7.68 assists per set while her team had a league-high .269 hitting percentage. Lasuik is the MCAC women’s volleyball player of the year.
MCAC announces fifth-annual True Sport volleyball team

The MCAC is proud to announce eight student-athletes as the fifth-annual True Sport team for the 2025-26 volleyball season. The True Sport team recognizes individuals who demonstrate the principles of True Sport on the court, in the classroom and in the community.
Boyes named women's futsal player of the year

Mackenzie Boyes is entering her sixth MCAC playoffs as a four-time champion with no intentions of staying at four. The Brandon University Bobcat led her team to a 6-0-2 regular season, good for the top seed for the women’s futsal playoffs. Boyes is the MCAC women’s futsal player of the year.
Chihab named men's futsal coach of the year

Yahia Chihab brings a wealth of experience to the Université de Saint-Boniface men’s futsal team and the results have shown it. Les Rouges finished first in the regular season at 7-1-0. Chihab is the MCAC men’s futsal coach of the year.
Gborie named men's futsal player of the year

Randy Gborie led the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges on a run to the top of the men’s futsal standings. Scoring five goals in three games on a busy week, he guided Les Rouges to three big wins and ultimately a 7-1-0 record to take the first seed for the playoffs. Gborie is the MCAC men’s futsal player of the year.
Rodriguez named women's futsal coach of the year

Diego Rodriguez has continued his winning ways. The Brandon University women’s futsal coach has followed an MCAC women’s soccer title with an unbeaten futsal regular season. Rodriguez is the MCAC women’s futsal coach of the year.
MVP Gibbons named male athlete of the week

Tristan Gibbons was unstoppable on Sunday. The six-foot-seven forward dominated in the paint, recording 21 points and 18 rebounds as the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges won their first-ever MCAC men’s basketball title with a 79-64 win over the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers.
MVP LaRocque named female athlete of the week

Faith LaRocque delivered in the biggest game of the season. The MCAC women’s basketball player of the year is now female athlete of the week after leading the Providence University College Pilots to a 69-58 win over the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers in the final on Sunday.
Les Rouges capture first-ever men's basketball championship

It was clear from the opening tip that the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges weren’t content with just making their first MCAC men’s basketball final. They were in it to win it all. Les Rouges led wire-to-wire on Sunday, defeating the undefeated Canadian Mennonite University Blazers 79-64 to claim the league championship at CMU on Sunday.
Pilots beat Blazers to complete perfect women's basketball season

The Providence University College Pilots came out with the perfect start to complete the perfect season on Sunday. After going 8-0 in the MCAC women’s basketball regular season, PUC scored 30 points in the first quarter and defeated the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers 69-58 in the final on home court in Niverville.
