Here's what their coaches had to say:
Jordyn Bradbury — "Jordyn Bradbury is simply a quiet force on our team. Her game has advanced in each of her three years, where now she is calm and extremely consistent. She is extremely competitive and brings some fire to our side from the libero position." — Kevin Neufeld
Maddie Oselies — "Maddie is incredibly deserving of the True Sport Award because of the way she lives out these values every single day within our program. Her weekly challenges and bible studies with our team have become such an important part of our culture — they push us to be better, stay connected, and remember why we do what we do. Maddie leads with intention and care, always finding ways to lift others up and bring our group together. What also stands out is her genuine personality and the way she shows up for people.
"Maddie makes a point to be there for her teammates and friends, even during times when she's navigating her own challenges, which speaks volumes about her character and selflessness. She brings positivity and joy into the gym, treats everyone with respect, and consistently shows gratitude for the people and opportunities around her. We are so proud of the impact Maddie has on our team and community, and this recognition is a true reflection of who she is every day." — Kyle Guenther
Andréa Fischer — "Andréa is the type of person who works extremely hard in everything she does and never complains or makes any excuses. She is very competitive on the court, but has such a caring and approachable demeanour. She is very coachable and strives to become a better athlete and teammate every opportunity she gets.
"She is selfless, consistently celebrating teammates' successes before her own. She is a pure joy to coach and fully embodies the student-athlete traits that every team would love to have." — Evan Turenne
Halle Meisner — "Halle embraces challenges with confidence and determination. Whether in practice or competition, she pushes herself to improve and consistently seeks higher standards. Her persistence—especially in difficult moments—sets the tone for her teammates and shows how good an athlete can become when they fully commit to the process.
"Halle is welcoming, encouraging, and inclusive. She values the diverse strengths and backgrounds of her teammates and makes a conscious effort to ensure everyone feels part of the group. Her leadership helps create a team culture where athletes feel seen, respected, and empowered." — Craig McKenzie
Thomas Pain — "Thomas Pain is an impressive young man and someone who has greatly impacted our program. TPain has become a leader in the weight room, is in the best shape of his life, and has been super durable because he takes such good care of his body. He is all about excellence with his high standards, and his habits, discipline, and resilience set him apart as he achieved amazing improvement on the court and has been a 4.0 GPA student most semesters.
"Thomas is very respectful to others, plays the game the right way with intensity but also integrity and fairness. In all my years coaching him, he has been super coachable, never caused any issues, and blessed me with his grateful and thankful attitude." — Paul Armbruster
Noah Ouimet — "Noah is an exceptional young man who consistently leads with respect and humility. He treats everyone he encounters with kindness, always offering a greeting, a merci, or a please, and carries himself with genuine integrity. His leadership is evident not only in his performance, but in his body language and the way he engages with teammates, coaches, and peers.
"Noah exemplifies the values of True Sport and is the kind of athlete every coach hopes to have on their team. We are incredibly fortunate to have him as part of the Les Rouges athletic program." — Connor Markestyn
Luke Janzen — "Luke has been a great leader for us this year. He has embraced his role as a veteran this year and has helped our group succeed. Luke brings a positive attitude to every practice and is always looking to make his teammates laugh. He is the type of player that makes a team feel like a family." — Jack Tyrrell
