Chihab named men's futsal coach of the year

Yahia Chihab brings a wealth of experience to the Université de Saint-Boniface men's futsal team and the results have shown it.
Les Rouges finished first in the regular season at 7-1-0.
Chihab is the MCAC men's futsal coach of the year.
"USB has a long history of success in men's soccer, and Yahia has not only upheld that standard but elevated it through thoughtful adjustments to team culture, accountability, and expectations," said USB athletic director Zoe Savoie.
"His ability to balance respect for tradition with a progressive, player-focused approach has helped push the program to the next level. Though young, Yahia demonstrates a maturity beyond his years, along with a strong desire to learn, grow, and continuously improve as a coach.
His passion for the game and for Les Rouges is evident in everything he does. Seeing a former student-athlete return to give back to the program in such a meaningful way speaks volumes about his character, commitment, and impact. Yahia Chihab's first season as head coach has set an exciting foundation for the future of USB men's soccer."
Les Rouges face the Providence University College Pilots in the semifinals on Saturday at PUC, while the Brandon University Bobcats and Canadian Mennonite University Blazers meet in the other semifinal.
The final is on Sunday at 3 p.m.
