MCAC announces 2026-27 basketball schedule
The return of Red River College Polytech Rebels basketball is set.
The Rebels host the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers on Nov. 6 to begin their first MCAC season since 2019-20.
"We're excited to begin a new season and to once again compete in the MCAC and CCAA. The release of the schedule marks the start of an exciting journey, and we look forward to representing our college with pride both on and off the court," said the Rebels in a statement.
Meanwhile, the defending women's champion Providence University College Pilots visit the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges to begin their season.
The rematch of the women's final is the following weekend between CMU and PUC.
The 18-game season features doubleheaders every weekend, so anticipation for the rematch of the men's final will build right up to Nov. 20 when the Blazers host Les Rouges.
The regular season wraps up on Feb. 21.
All four teams will compete in the playoffs, with the higher seeds hosting the semifinals. The top remaining seed hosts the best-of-three final.
