Lasuik named women's volleyball player of the year

Tyra Lasuik led the most powerful offence in MCAC women's volleyball this season.
The Assiniboine College Cougars setter averaged 7.68 assists per set while her team had a league-high .269 hitting percentage.
Lasuik is the MCAC women's volleyball player of the year.
"Tyra has had a great second season and has made impactful strides in her game each year," said Cougars coach Kevin Neufeld. "She has a great sense for the game and vision on the court. She has the ability to keep the defence guessing with her offensive prowess and set location."
The second-year setter added 25 aces and 63 digs as AC went 13-5 to take the top seed for the playoffs. They earned a bye to the best-of-three final and host the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers starting on Friday.
The winner heads to Niverville to join the host Providence University College Pilots at nationals two weeks later.
