MVP Gibbons named male athlete of the week

Tristan Gibbons was unstoppable on Sunday.
The six-foot-seven forward dominated in the paint, recording 21 points and 18 rebounds as the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges won their first-ever MCAC men's basketball title with a 79-64 win over the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers.
Gibbons was named championship MVP and now the MCAC male athlete of the week. 
Gibbons hit nine of 14 shots he took as USB led wire to wire.
This weekend, the MCAC basketball teams are off to the NIAC championship at Free Lutheran Bible College.
In MCAC action, the volleyball semifinals take place at CMU on Friday, with the futsal final four at PUC on Saturday and Sunday.
