Mackenzie Boyes is entering her sixth MCAC playoffs as a four-time champion with no intentions of staying at four. The Brandon University Bobcat led her team to a 6-0-2 regular season, good for the top seed for the women’s futsal playoffs. Boyes is the MCAC women’s futsal player of the year.
Rodriguez named women's futsal coach of the year

Diego Rodriguez has continued his winning ways. The Brandon University women’s futsal coach has followed an MCAC women’s soccer title with an unbeaten futsal regular season. Rodriguez is the MCAC women’s futsal coach of the year.
Wasylik named female athlete of the week

Kalyssa Wasylik is eager to send her team back to the women’s futsal playoffs. After the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers missed the post-season last year, the fifth-year has them off to a stronger start with a 6-6 draw against the Assiniboine College Cougars on Sunday.
MCAC releases 2026 futsal schedule

A format change is coming for the 2026 MCAC futsal season. Double-header days are no longer on the schedule while teams will still play eight-game regular seasons.
Bobcats claim first women's futsal championship

The Brandon University Bobcats pulled off the unthinkable on Sunday. For the first time in more than six years, someone other than the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges hoisted the MCAC women’s futsal trophy as the Bobcats beat Les Rouges in 6-2 in the final.

Manuel Luben Lozano needed just one year to take the Assiniboine College Cougars to new heights. The rookie head coach guided the Cougars women’s futsal team to their first-ever MCAC playoff appearance. Luben Lozano was voted MCAC women’s futsal coach of the year.

The St. Boniface Les Rouges are on an unprecedented run of Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference futsal dominance, and they’ll look to continue starting on Jan. 18 as they open the eight-game regular season against the host Providence University College Pilots.

New team, same dream complete. The Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges women’s futsal team, with as much roster turnover as anyone in the MCAC, completed a remarkable five-peat on Sunday with a 5-4 victory over the host Brandon University Bobcats in the championship game.

Tonya Derkson has kept the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges futsal dynasty rolling seamlessly. The veteran coach in her first season at the helm of the program, led Les Rouges to an unbeaten regular season at 6-0-2. Derkson is the MCAC women’s futsal coach of the year.

The 2023 Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC) women’s futsal season ended with another successful defence of the conference title by the #1 seed Université de Saint-Boniface (USB) Les Rouges. USB captured a fourth consecutive MCAC Championship title in front of a packed Loewen Athletic Centre in Winnipeg. Fourth year forward Sara Boissonneault was selected as Championship MVP.

At the 2023 MCAC Women’s Futsal Championship, hosted by Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) in Winnipeg, had the top two seeds Université de Saint-Boniface (USB) Les Rouges and Brandon University (BU) Bobcats matched up in the Championship Final on February 19 and USB were victorious by a 7-0 shutout result.
