Sawatzky named female athlete of the week

Julia Sawatzky is back as strong as ever for the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers.
The third-year left side posted 25 kills and 24 digs during two wins over the Assiniboine College Cougars in her return from an injury that saw her miss last season.
Sawatzky is the MCAC female athlete of the week.
"The entire team played very well this week, but Julia had just that little extra with spectacular defence covering the court corner to corner and chasing down balls in the stands to keep it in play. Outstanding effort," said Blazers coach Craig McKenzie.
Sawatzky recorded a game-high 15 kills while only making four errors in Friday's 3-1 win.
In the other matches, Providence University College beat the Université de Saint-Boniface 3-2 both days. 
All the teams have next weekend off.
