Peters repeats as MCAC women's volleyball player of the year

It was a near-impossible task for Tyra Peters to top her stellar 2023-24 season, but she just about matched it.
Once again, the Providence University College Pilot the MCAC women's volleyball kills leader, and once again, she's the player of the year.
"Tyra has once again shown this year that she is an elite scorer. Leading the league by a wide margin in kills and points, while playing in fewer sets than the other leaders tells one side of the story," said Pilots coach Kyle Guenther.
"The impact she has and coming through in big moments is what isn't seen on the stat sheets. Tyra is an all-around skilled player who contributes in every way whenever she is on the floor.
"As mentioned, an offensive threat but also is among the league's best on defence and behind the service line. She is an exciting player to watch and our team has benefited greatly from what she brings night in and night out."
Peters topped the league with 210 kills and 3.39 kills per set, finishing third in hitting percentage at .209, second in digs per set at 2.61 and fourth in aces per set at .52.
