Bobcats complete women's soccer three-peat

The Brandon University Bobcats have completed the second MCAC women's soccer three-peat in six years.
The top-ranked Bobcats defeated the Providence University College Pilots 3-0 on home turf on Sunday.
"It felt really good. Especially coming in being a fifth year, it felt really good to get the job done. Instead of it being 2-1, we got to 3-0 this time. For a three-peat, three goals," said final four MVP Brogan Henry.
BU finished 10-1-1 in the regular season to earn home-field advantage and took advantage, beating Canadian Mennonite University 14-0 in the semifinals. PUC defeated the Université de Saint-Boniface 4-0 in the other semifinal.
Henry and the Bobcats focused on playing together.
"We're a team and when one of us scores, it's the whole team scoring. We had to make sure we knew our whole team had to come together and we couldn't get down on ourselves, no matter what," said Henry.
Jorja Hoad scored first, right before halftime.
In the 66th minute, Mackenzie Boyes scored on a header to make it 2-0.
Abby-Jo Wark kicked home the final goal in added time.
"We decided to get a little more conservative, get the ball in their end and not force things. We wanted to play calm. When we had our opportunity, we took it," Henry said.
The Bobcats will represent the MCAC at CCAA nationals in Red Deer on Nov. 5-8.
