Walker wins fourth straight women's soccer coach of the year award
Tory Walker is the MCAC women's soccer coach of the year for an incredible fourth consecutive season.
The Providence University College Pilots coach led his team to a 9-1-2 record, good for second place, narrowly behind the defending champion Brandon University Bobcats.
"Tory has moved his team forward again this year. He has built a dominant team that shared the top spot all season long. Tory is constantly challenging his players in order to get the best out of them," said PUC director of athletics Joel Coursey.
"He has proven that everyone is important to the team's success by playing deep into his roster. The culture he has developed is one of effort and intensity that needs every player. After falling short of the goal to host, the team's eyes are set on the prize ahead."
Walker lost some key players entering the 2025 season, but recruited well and helped players step up to fill big shoes en route to a strong season.
The Pilots face the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges in Saturday's semifinals at Cougars Field in Brandon at noon.
The Bobcats host the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers in the other semifinal at noon.
The final is on Sunday at noon at the Healthy Living Centre.
