Gbadamosi named female athlete of the week

If anyone has an argument for a better rebounder in the history of MCAC women's basketball, Oluwanifemi Gbadamosi would like to hear it.
The fourth-year forward from Canadian Mennonite University brought down 41 boards in the last two games of the regular season, both narrow victories over Providence University College to take over first place and the right to host the final.
Gbadamosi is the MCAC female athlete of the week.
"Nif had a great weekend setting unimaginable rebounding records and reinforcing her place as number one for MCAC rebounds per game," said Blazers head coach Sharlene Harding.
"Nif brought constant energy all weekend, resulting in a double-double with over 20 rebounds one night followed by another 20 the following night. Stating that Nif owns the boards in our conference would be an understatement."
Gbadamosi also had 15 points and four assists in the first game, a 75-72 win. She finished the finished the season with 99 rebounds, averaging 11.1 points and 12.4 rebounds per game.
The Blazers host the Pilots in the MCAC final on Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.
