Ehrmantraut named female athlete of the week
It didn't take long for the first 30-point night in MCAC women's basketball.
Who else, but the reigning player of the year? Briana Ehrmantraut followed an 11-point, seven-rebound opener with 30 points, four rebounds and three steals as the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers started the season with two wins over the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges.
Ehrmantraut is the MCAC female athlete of the week.
"Briana had an excellent showing against USB and that put an indelible mark on CMU's promising season this year. Her consistency and tenacity in CMU's second game against USB was one of the key factors in CMU's
victory in an otherwise very tight rematch, and a direct reflection of the
endless hours she puts in the gym to hone her game," said coach Sharlene Harding.
The Blazers are off this weekend while Les Rouges host the Providence University College Pilots on Friday and visit them on Saturday.
