Kishi Rioferio embraced a unique style of play and found a way to stand out.
The Providence University College Pilots guard posted 17 points to lead her team to a remarkable 72-69 win in the women's basketball final over the five-time defending champion Canadian Mennonite University Blazers.
Rioferio is the MCAC female athlete of the week.
While the Pilots swapped full lines of five out every minute, Rioferio was able to heat up with scoring bursts on the short shifts, hitting a pair of big three-pointers to push the Pilots up in the third quarter.
There's one more weekend of MCAC action left this season as the futsal final four takes place at Brandon University on Saturday and Sunday.
