Petrie named male athlete of the week

Duncan Petrie was as consistent as it gets on the weekend.
The fifth-year right side from Canadian Mennonite University posted 15 kills and a .538 hitting percentage twice in a row, leading the Blazers to back-to-back wins.
Petrie is the MCAC male athlete of the week.
"Duncan has stepped up as an exemplary leader this year. His presence is pivotal to our success on and off the court," said Blazers coach Jack Tyrrell.
Petrie also had three aces and four blocks in Friday's four-set win over the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges, then recorded 10 digs as the Blazers won 3-1 again on Saturday.
The Blazers visit the Providence University College Pilots this weekend after PUC split Assiniboine College with a 3-0 win and a 3-2 loss last weekend.
AC hosts USB in the other games.
After that, the teams are off until January.
