Lemoine named male athlete of the week

David Lemoine helped the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges win a regular season match for the first time in more than a year.
It wasn't just any win; it was over the defending MCAC men's volleyball champion Providence University College Pilots.
Lemoine is the MCAC male athlete of the week.
"Dave has been excellent in his short time with us. He is a total gamer and demands the best from himself day in and day out," said head coach Connor Markestyn. "I am excited to see his growth as he becomes more comfortable in our league."
The rookie left side put up 28 kills and three aces while passing well over two matchups against the Pilots.
Les Rouges split the pair of five-set matches.
In the other matches, Canadian Mennonite University and Assiniboine College split 3-2 wins as well.
All the teams have next weekend off.
