CMU's Petrie named male athlete of the week

Duncan Petrie played one of the best games of the season in the biggest one of the season.
The fourth-year right side from Canadian Mennonite University posted 16 kills, hitting .519 in a 3-0 sweep of the Assiniboine College Cougars in the men's volleyball semifinal on Saturday.
Petrie is the MCAC male athlete of the week.
He also had three blocks and four digs to secure the Blazers a trip to CCAA nationals, hosted by Providence University College.
The Blazers and Pilots meet in the league final, which is a best of three series at CMU starting on Friday at 6 p.m.
Saturday's match is at 2 p.m., as is Sunday's if necessary.
