Williams named male athlete of the week

The Providence University College Pilots are firing on all cylinders and from all positions.
Already possessing elite left side and middle attackers, right side Cayden Williams has added a new dimension to their offence.
Williams recorded nine kills with no errors, hitting .500 in a 3-0 sweep of the Assiniboine College Cougars on Saturday.
The rookie is the MCAC male athlete of the week.
"Cayden has been a great addition to our team this year. He wants to push himself in the gym, weight room, and classroom and is becoming a very strong attacker and server for us," said Pilots coach Paul Armbruster.
"His love for beach volleyball created strong reading ability, which translates into some great passing and digging from him. His consistent and composed personality is valuable to our culture."
Williams finished the regular season with 115 kills, third on his team behind Noah Boschman and Sebastian Verdaguer.
The Pilots have a bye to the MCAC final series, awaiting the winner of Saturday's semifinal between AC and Canadian Mennonite University. The winner will join nationals host PUC among the eight teams vying for the CCAA championship in March.
