Bodunrin named male athlete of the week

T.J. Bodunrin has turned the Brandon University Bobcats' offence into a two-headed beast. The fourth-year striker has now scored in four straight games, including three goals in two wins this weekend.

Bodunrin is the MCAC male athlete of the week.

He hit the net twice as the Bobcats beat the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers in the battle for first place on Saturday, a 6-0 win, then scored once in a 3-1 victory over the Assiniboine College Cougars on Sunday.

BU and CMU are tied for first, with the Bobcats holding the tiebreaker thanks to a 2-1 head-to-head record. In the other two games on the weekend, the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges beat the Providence University College Pilots 1-0 and lost 3-1 to the Blazers.This weekend, PUC hosts CMU on Saturday and AC on Sunday. USB visits AC on Saturday and BU on Sunday.
