Holfeld named Male Athlete of the Week

Tristen Holfeld started the MCAC season with a statement.

The second-year midfielder netted a hat trick in Canadian Mennonite University's season-opening 4-0 win over Assiniboine College on Saturday. One day later, he scored a penalty in a 4-0 victory over Brandon University.

"Tristen was outstanding this weekend. Four goals and an assist in just two games is tough to do, but what really stands out is how he makes everyone around him better," said CMU coach Gode Katembo."The way he works, the vision he plays with, and the leadership he shows on the field—that's exactly what we need if we're going to push for a championship this season."
CMU sits in first place, two points ahead of the Providence University College Pilots.

PUC drew the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges 1-1 on Saturday and defeated AC 4-2 on Sunday.

This weekend, Providence visits Brandon on Saturday and hosts CMU on Sunday.
USB hosts AC on Saturday and BU on Sunday.
