Week 4 (Sept. 28-Oct. 2) – 2022 MCAC Soccer Match Previews

Sept. 28 result: Université de Saint-Boniface (USB) Les Rouges 2 Providence University College (PUC) Pilots 1

In a battle for second place, Université de Saint-Boniface (4-1-1) notched a hard fought 2-1 home win and Franck Oumar N'Dia registered both goals in the victory and now seven overall this season. Alen Milas-Ibrahimovic added a goal for Providence University College (3-0-3).

Sept. 28 result: Brandon University (BU) Bobcats 1 Assiniboine Community College (ACC) Cougars 0

First place Brandon University (5-0-1) keep on rolling as they extend their winning streak to five matches with the shutout home win. Matheus Souza earned his first shutout of the season and Matheus Ruffini scored in the second half against fourth place Assiniboine Community College (0-2-3).

Oct. 1: PUC Pilots at ACC Cougars – 1 pm CT start

PUC is in third place and ACC looks to build on a couple draw results to move closer in the standings in the first of two matches at home against the Pilots. This is also the first match-up between both squads in 2022.

Oct. 1: BU Bobcats at USB Les Rouges – 1 pm CT start

First place on the line in this match. Les Rouges won 4-3 on the road in Sept. 10 match this season. The defending champs Bobcats only loss this year was that game and seek to reverse the result this weekend. Saint-Boniface is at number 11 in the latest CCAA national rankings.

Oct. 2: Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) Blazers at BU Bobcats – 1 pm CT start

Canadian Mennonite University (0-1-4) are seeking their first win of the season and an upset victory on the road against a possible fatigued team as Brandon play their second match in 24 hours and only first match of the week for CMU. BU's Johnathan Kohan was MCAC Athlete of the Week winner in week three while Camilo Rodriguez leads the conference with nine goals so far. The Blazers have three players with one goal apiece so far in this campaign.

Oct. 2: PUC Pilots at ACC Cougars – 1 pm CT start

This is the third match of the week for both teams and playing back-to-back games over the weekend at ACC. PUC's Giovanni Benitez Friesen is third in conference goal scoring with five. For the Cougars, Dustin Strasser and Christian Buck have scored a goal.
