Cameron named male athlete of the week

Daniel Cameron is picking up where he left off.
The Canadian Mennonite University Blazers fourth-year forward was a point away from back-to-back double-doubles to start the MCAC men's basketball season with two wins on the weekend.
Cameron is the MCAC male athlete of the week.
"Daniel's game continues to mature in his fourth season, and he was our biggest impact player overall this weekend with consistent performances on back-to-back nights," said Blazers coach Scott Martin. "He really is the backbone of this team, and his ability to dominate the paint simply can't be overstated."
The reigning player of the year recorded nine points, 13 rebounds and three steals on home court in an 84-66 win over the Providence University College Pilots on Friday.
Cameron scored 10 points with 15 rebounds and three assists on Saturday in a 71-69 win at Providence.
The Blazers visit the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges this Friday and Saturday.
