Martin named MCAC men's basketball coach of the year

Scott Martin orchestrated a rare perfect regular season.
The Canadian Mennonite University Blazers men's basketball coach led his team to eight straight regular-season wins, earning MCAC coach of the year.
"Scott is really deserving of this recognition," said CMU athletic director Russell Willms. "He has built a winning program and continues to develop a culture of excellence in his team, in terms of recruitment and retention but also in terms of individual and team performances."
The Blazers are hungry to defend their league title on Friday at 7 p.m., as they host the Providence University College Pilots in the final.
PUC beat CMU 73-72 in the NIAC final last weekend.
