Cameron named MCAC men's basketball player of the year
Year after year, Daniel Cameron keeps delivering.
The perennial all-conference forward from Canadian Mennonite University was the only MCAC men's basketball player to average a double-double, earning his second player of the year award.
"He has a motor that does not quit," said Blazers coach Scott Martin.
Cameron finished third in the league with 12.6 points per game and a league-leading 10.8 rebounds per game, leading the Blazers to first place and earning home-court advantage the final.
Cameron had a whopping 15 points and 23 rebounds in CMU's 67-62 victory over Providence three weeks ago.
The Blazers are looking to avenge a one-point loss to the Pilots in last weekend's NIAC final, fighting for the MCAC crown on Friday at 7 p.m.
