Isaiah Cole helped his team accomplish a big goal with a perfect weekend.

The fourth-year guard from Canadian Mennonite University put up 50 points in three victories to secure first place in the MCAC men's basketball regular season.

Cole is the MCAC male athlete of the week.

"Isaiah is such a dynamic part of our team's offence, often drawing the opposition's best defender," said Blazers coach Scott Martin.

"He can shoot from the outside, but has the length and power to drive the basket and score inside the paint as well. He has the ability to take over the game like we saw on Saturday and Sunday night."

Cole recorded 11 points and six rebounds in one game and 22 points in the other against Université de Saint-Boniface.

He posted 17 points, two rebounds and two assists as the Blazers beat the Providence University College Pilots on Saturday to move into the top spot.

Our championship season is fast approaching, with the volleyball final four on February 24 and 25, basketball the following weekend and futsal on March 9-10.
