CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION QUESTIONS:
1. Your goal for this season…And has it changed now?
Answer: Like most, my goal at the start of the season was to win Provincials.
2. Thoughts on being part of Nationals this season?
Answer: I feel extremely blessed to be able to participate at Nationals. I know that our league has been wanting to participate for a couple years now, so the fact that we are the first team from Manitoba to go is beyond exciting. I am very much looking forward to representing Manitoba this year!
3. When did you realize this team could do something special and make a championship run this year?
Answer: For me, I think it was the second week of practice. We had just started to get the rust off from our Covid break and I was able to see all the talent that our team had to offer. Not to mention, our team cohesion was impeccable. Our team is truly a family, and our dynamic is what really helped us to win the championship.
4. Why did you choose volleyball as a sport?
Answer: I chose volleyball, for the digging. Besides all the scrapes and bruises, it is all worth it to get that amazing dig that changes the game.
5. Who is the joker/fun person on your team?
Answer: Not gonna lie, it is pretty hard to pick just one. This might sound cliché, but I think my whole team is absolutely hilarious!
6. What are you listening to right now?…and/or pump up music?
Answer: For studying, I listen to a lot of piano and orchestra music, but for games the one pump up song will forever be Man’s Not Hot by Big Shaq.
7. Best social media/website to follow?
Answer: Of course, our Les Rouges Instagram account!!
BONUS: Favourite TV show and/or movie?
Answer: Top five movies; The Longest Yard, Deadpool, Good Will Hunting, Blades of Glory, and Star Wars: Attack of the Clones.
