2022 MCAC championship schedule revised

Due to COVID-19, basketball, futsal and volleyball conference championship dates have now shifted to March 2022

The 2022 Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC) championship schedule has been revised. Due to COVID-19, basketball, futsal and volleyball conference championship dates have now shifted to March 2022.

The 2022 MCAC basketball championship will be on March 3 and 4 and hosted by Providence University College (PUC) Pilots at Niverville Community Resource & Recreation Centre. The semi-final game will be played on Thursday, March 3 with the championship final on Friday, March 4. For both nights, the women’s tip-off is at 6 p.m. CT while the men’s game is schedule for a 8 p.m. CT start.

The 2022 MCAC futsal championship will be on March 12 and 13 and hosted by Université de Saint-Boniface (USB) Les Rouges in the East Gym. The semi-final games start on Saturday, March 12 with the championship final on Sunday, March 13. The women’s semi-final with be at 11 a.m. CT and 12:45 p.m. CT with the women’s championship held on 1:30 p.m. CT. For the men’s playoff games, the semi-finals follow the women’s matches at 2:30 p.m. CT and 4:15 p.m. CT while the men’s championship will commence at 3:15 p.m. CT.

The 2022 MCAC volleyball championship will be on March 5 and 6 and hosted by Assiniboine Community College (ACC) Cougars at the Victoria Campus in Brandon. The semi-final matches are on Saturday, March 5 with the championship finale on Sunday, March 6. The women’s semi-final with be at 12 p.m. CT and 2 p.m. with the women’s championship held on 1 p.m. CT. For the men’s post-season contests, the semi-finals played at 4 p.m. CT and 6 p.m. CT and the men’s championship will begin at 3 p.m. CT.

The winners of the MCAC volleyball championship will advance to play at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) championship for the first time ever. The 2022 CCAA Men’s Volleyball National Championship will be hosted by Cégep Limoilou in Quebec City while the 2022 CCAA Women’s Volleyball National Championship will be hosted by Holland College in Charlottetown, PEI.
