6 Questions With…Taylor Hiebert, PUC Pilots Women’s volleyball, 2nd year outside

Providence University College (PUC) Pilots are in third place with a 4-5 record in the 2021-22 Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC) women’s volleyball standings at the holiday break. The Pilots are scheduled to resume playing on the road against Assiniboine Community College (ACC) Cougars on Friday, Jan. 28 at 6 pm CT.

QUESTIONS:

1. Your goal for this season…And has it changed now?

Answer: One of my goals for this season was to play the best I could, seeing as this is my first year on the court due to Covid.

2. How difficult was it to return to conference play after year off due to COVID-19?

Answer: I say that every team so far has come into the MCAC season hungry. Especially in the beginning, we all began with such gratefulness to be playing this sport again.

3. Why did you choose volleyball as a sport?

Answer: Volleyball is the first sport I did not relent going to practices. I love practices as much as I love games.

4. Who is the joker/fun person on your team?

Answer: Definitely Morgan Thiessen. She is always happy, always dancing. I’ve never heard her say anything negative. Been a pleasure to laugh with her this season.

5. What are you listening to right now?…and/or pump up music?

Answer: I am listening to a lot of Kanye and his new album these days.

6. Best social media/website to follow?

Answer: I am a huge Huskers fan, their Instagram page helps me keep in touch with highlights from their games and scores when I can’t watch.

BONUS: Favourite TV show and/or movie?

Answer: I’m a big fan of Money Heist the TV series.
