2021 MCAC Soccer All-Conference and MVP Awards

After a year hiatus, the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC) soccer season was back in action in 2021 with numerous highlights and award winning performances. Both women’s and men’s soccer All-Canadians and Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards were selected. Coach of the Year winners will be announce the day before the start of the MCAC Final Four Soccer Championship Weekend from October 30-31 in Brandon.

2021 Women’s Soccer Most Valuable Player: Katie Moniot – USB Les Rouges (unanimous selection)

“Katie is dedicated, talented hard working leader for us and her play has been at a extremely high level and consistent which not always easy if the tough condensed season players face in the MCAC. Definitely proud of all her many accomplishments and the way she has grown as a player. Katie is a true testament that hard work pays off.” – Les Rouges head coach Justin Légaré

Helen Langrehr – 1st year Defence, Midfield, team captain: 11 games played; 4 goals

– Kylie Van De Woestyne – 1st year Defence, Midfield, team captain: 12 games played; 6 goals, T-8th in MCAC scoring

– Paige Heide – 2nd year Centre Midfield, Defence: 12 games played; 8 goals, T-4th in MCAC scoring and Week 5 MCAC plus CCAA Player of the Week

– Chloe Jahn – 3rd year Centre Midfield, team captain: 12 games played; 2 goals and part of defence that had 5 shutouts

Tiegan Kroeker – 3rd year Centre Back, Midfield, team captain: 12 games played; 2 goals and part of defence that had 2 shutouts

Ezri Trump – 2nd year Centre Back, Midfield, Striker: 12 games played; 2 goals and part of defence that had 2 shutouts

2021 Men’s Soccer Most Valuable Player: Diego Rodriguez – BU Bobcats (unanimous selection)
