Kayla Devloo committed to the Cougars women’s soccer team for the upcoming 2021 fall season.
The 5’7 midfield adds another Westman athlete to the roster, coming to us from Rapid City, Manitoba. She has grown up playing various levels and many years with the Brandon Youth Soccer Association. Although having played other sports, soccer has always been one of her favourites. Devloo enjoys volunteering at the Brandon Humane Society, and hanging out with family and friends in her spare time.
“I work well with others and am always willing to help when needed,” said Devloo. “I’m looking forward to meeting new people, making new friends and developing more skills.”
Co-Coach Gerry Rocan is pleased to be recruiting local talent into the Cougars line up, with Devloo’s skill in the mid-field a great addition to the team.
“Kayla is a left-foot dominant player who prefers to play left mid-field. This is a position we’ve been seeking,” said co-coach Gerry Rocan. “She will present a threat in front of the opposition net, especially on corner kicks.”
Devloo will start college in the fall, taking the Assiniboine’s Culinary Arts program.
“I love to cook, bake and challenge myself to make new delicious creations,” said Devloo of the culinary program.
