First-year keeper, William Tonning is enrolled in the Bachelor of Physical Education Studies at Brandon University.
The European goalie from Slagelse, Denmark made a number of key saves to lead the BU Bobcats to a 3-1 win over the CMU Blazers on Sunday. The only goal Tonning let by him was off of a penalty shot.

Bobcats head coach, Jesse Roziere said Tonning will be an important player for a Bobcats team that has seen a lot of turnover since last season.
“He is a top-quality goalkeeper who is proving that he can be a difference maker and steal games for a young Bobcats team that is adjusting to the pace of the MCAC,” said Roziere. “He has been a leader and a contributor to our team environment and culture. We are looking forward to the heights that William can assist in taking us to this season.”
With the win on Sunday, Brandon improves to 2-1-0 on the season. The Bobcats will look to string together wins when they host the RRC Rebels on Saturday, September 28.
