Camille Plett has led the way for the CMU Blazers through the first two weeks of the MCAC women’s soccer season. She paces the entire conference with seven total goals including two hat-tricks.
“Camille definitely deserves this award based on her play in our first three games,” said Blazers coach Cara Isaak. “She has scored seven goals while playing several different positions when her team needed her to fill in different roles.”
Plett was also named athlete of the week during the first weeks of last year’s season.
“She has shown real confidence in taking on defenders and shooting from distance and she has also given us some great looks on set pieces,” Isaak continued. “She was instrumental in getting our first win this weekend as the team benefited from her passion on the field.”
This week, Plett and the Blazers are making their way out to Calgary to take part in a series of exhibition games against ACAC and CCAA competition.
