Scoring and leadership has garnered Jessica Lister the 2015-16 season’s first Manitoba Collegiate Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week award.
“I think that we have a really great group of girls this season. We have a pretty small roster, but that doesn’t limit us because we have talented players who are able to adjust and play in a number of different positions”, says Lister.
After a 2-1 win over Brandon University on September 13th, a game in which Lister single-handedly outscored the opponent netting both her team’s goals, the Rebels then beat Providence University College on September 19th by a healthy margin of 4-1 thanks in part to another goal by Lister.

The following day, the Rebels faced off against the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers and walked away with a 3-2 win, Lister with yet another goal.
“So far we have started the season off on a powerful winning streak, so hopefully we can carry that energy on throughout the rest of the season.”
Weeks 1 & 2 are combined due to scheduling.
