With five goals in three wins for the Providence Lady Freemen, the team is making a habit of spreading the wealth around.
This week, it was first-year player Kate Osadchuk reaping the spoils.
In a game that saw 2011 All-Conference selection Amy Reimer knock in her first goal of the season for Red River College, Osadchuk and the Lady Freemen did them one better. She put in two goals to give her team the 2-1 win, and help them stay undefeated and atop the conference for the fourth straight week.
Osadchuk joins teammate Brianna Plett for the only women’s soccer players to notch two goals this season.
The win was big for the Lady Freemen, they will close the season with a busy schedule: three games in four days starting on Sat. Oct. 13. They’ll then head into the Soccer Championships looking to turn their 2011 silver into 2012 gold.
Osadchuk, who attended Neelin High School in Brandon, Manitoba, plays midfield and forward and is studying toward a bachelor of arts.
