When playing from the bench, it can be tough to put up numbers at all, much less team-leading figures in stats.
In Week 12 though, the Providence University College Lady Freemen women’s volleyball team proved their depth as right-side Jessica Hamm came off the bench to put up serious numbers in two weekend games against the University of Winnipeg College Wesmen. In the two wins, the first in three sets and the second in four, Hamm had 17 kills, six blocks, four digs and two aces to help her team move to 7-3, second in the conference. “Jessica came off the bench this weekend and made a significant impact in both games,” said head coach Scott Masterson. “She was our best passer and a solid player in both the front row and back row.”
“Her contribution just shows how we have some very skilled players that don’t see as much playing time.”
Hamm is in her second year of competition at Providence and is studying youth leadership. She attended Landmark Collegiate.
