Serafina Trunzo made a huge splash in her team’s first ever MCAC conference soccer match Sunday, September 19. The freshman midfielder for the newly formed University of Winnipeg College Wesmen women’s soccer team scored a hat trick in an impressive 8-nil victory over Providence College.
The 18-year-old graduate of Vincent Massey Collegiate also had three goals in the College Wesmen’s exhibition match a week earlier against the defending conference champions from Canadian Mennonite University.
Trunzo and the University of Winnipeg’s next regular season action is on Saturday, October 2, when they take on the Blazers at Canadian Mennonite University Field.
