Minot State University’s women’s and men’s basketball teams will travel to Winnipeg this Saturday, January 17 to contend with their respective counterparts from Red River College in exhibition play.
The 3-0 Rebel men will likely see a significant challenge in the more seasoned 11-6 Beavers at 2 p.m. MSU recently handed the Brandon University Bobcats a 104-85 beating at the Minot State University Dome. The Beaver men also possess a considerable height advantage over the Rebels. MSU’s Mitch Mayer and Milan Cvetkovic both stand at 6’8”, while only one other Beaver forward stands below 6’6”.
The 10-7 MSU women will play Red River at Noon on Saturday, just hours after the Rebels regular season tips off on Friday night against Canadian Mennonite University.
